30 Year Old Bonnet

Earlier this year, I flew north to clean out any belonging from my childhood home. I boxed up a bunch of baby stuff and sent it to myself. After going through some stuff I found this bonnet - melon was on sale this week :P The white strings weren't yet attached just a little pink bonnet thing. I didn't think much about it - so I put it in the mail and sent it to my mom, hoping she could add some strings and the new Baby could wear it. After receiving it she went to her sewing room and discover she had made the bonnet and still had the 30 year old, dingy yellow pattern to prove it. So, she added two white strings and some pom poms and returned it to me.

Relaxing on the coast

The first day of our trip, we had to come down and see the ocean. Had a really bad storm that evening and the next, but the rest of the week was beautiful. Hanging out at the neighbors' place.
Of course we couldn't go to Rodanthe without seeing the house made famous by a recent movie.
The slides with the railings were fun...the slides with room to plant a foot and roll face-forward were more fun to climb than descend.
These slide things are no fun what-so-ever :)
Because the waves were scary, daddy tried to lure me to the water by making sand castles that I loved to destroy. As you can see, there was a limit to my fun in the form of a water line.
Some much to stimulate the mind at the beach. The first thing we went for was another family's beach toys.
