Week 38

I thought I better post this since I'm not sure how much longer he'll hold out. They did a nonstress test yesterday at the doctors office and I'm having mild contractions 8 min. apart- yippi. I'm hoping that he may still hold out for October 1st. Who knows, my doctor and N.P. don't think I'll make it past next week- but you never know.
I'm done with work after friday- thank goodness- I need a break. If he doesn't arrive this weekend then I'll have next week to finish up things around the house. It would be wonderful to have that time next week- our house is so disorganzied because of the floors.

New Floors

I know, I know, it's a little late to be ripping apart out house. We ordered flooring back in June and it FINALLY came in. We scheduled for the contractors to come out last week to install it and they didn't show up. However, they did arrive on Saturday, and they have started to lay the flooring! Thank the Lord. We can't even walk downstairs without shoes on, for fear of splinters. It's crazy to be living in such chaos, and not knowing when I'm going to pop.

Week 37

We hired a Doula! Her name is Julie, and she's the best! It was funny how we found her. First off, a Doula is a women caregiver. They support you through the birthing process. Kind of like a coach at a sports event. I want to go natural (if possible) and the benefits of having a Doula as support can sometimes lessen the chances of medical intervention. Greg is confident and happy in the decision. I wanted to get one, but the whole interviewing and meeting one I liked seemed like to much work, especially since I'm due so soon. Not to mention they can be expensive. It just so happened Julie ended up teaching our Infant CPR class a few weeks ago. She was great, and a Doula! She's knowledgeable, sweet, and fits our personalities. Another wonderful thing, is that she will come to me. So if Greg's out of town or working she will come to the house and help me. I think this is a huge relief for Greg since he works so far away.

My little Louisville Slugger

I received a surprise in the mail last week! It was a little Louisville Slugger shirt and bib for our little man. It's VERY CUTE. Thanks, Aunt Sally! :)

36 Weeks

36 weeks and counting down! My doctor has informed me that I'll be fullterm on sunday 9/9. Which means he can arrive anytime after and he'll be fine. It seems he's already starting to drop down some-I'm hoping an end is in sight.

Anniversary

Last night we ate year old wedding cake. Sounds gross, I know. I have to admit, it was actually really good. The sugar paste leave still looked amazing too. Although, I think the sugar rush hit the baby before it me.
