Hudson rolled over last Sunday! Greg and I both got to see him do it. He tucks that one arm under and slowing leans into it. It's a slow process and I'm sure he hasn't a clue what exactly he's doing. At any rate, it's a milestone that we are proud of :)
I'm getting nervous about our roadtrip home for the holidays. It'll be interesting. Hudson is finally sleeping a lot better so I'm hoping we drive straight throught the night.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Little Monster
Hudson went in for his first set of shots yesterday. I think he did better than I.
Prior to the shots they weighed & measured him. He's 13.9lbs & 23 inches long! What a little chub! :P

Week 38
I'm done with work after friday- thank goodness- I need a break. If he doesn't arrive this weekend then I'll have next week to finish up things around the house. It would be wonderful to have that time next week- our house is so disorganzied because of the floors.

Week 37
We hired a Doula! Her name is Julie, and she's the best! It was funny how we found her. First off, a Doula is a women caregiver. They support you through the birthing process. Kind of like a coach at a sports event. I want to go natural (if possible) and the benefits of having a Doula as support can sometimes lessen the chances of medical intervention. Greg is confident and happy in the decision. I wanted to get one, but the whole interviewing and meeting one I liked seemed like to much work, especially since I'm due so soon. Not to mention they can be expensive. It just so happened Julie ended up teaching our Infant CPR class a few weeks ago. She was great, and a Doula! She's knowledgeable, sweet, and fits our personalities. Another wonderful thing, is that she will come to me. So if Greg's out of town or working she will come to the house and help me. I think this is a huge relief for Greg since he works so far away.

36 Weeks
36 weeks and counting down! My doctor has informed me that I'll be fullterm on sunday 9/9. Which means he can arrive anytime after and he'll be fine. It seems he's already starting to drop down some-I'm hoping an end is in sight.

The madness begins...
As the fall season approaches .... so do crazy people, & football. It exhausts me to think about it. We recieved the little LSU outfit as gift from some friends of ours. I'm sure it'll be one of the first things Greg puts the little guy in. I can't believe the season starts the end of this MONTH!

Week 30
7 months, 30 weeks, 212 days pregnant. To think, I still have 10 more weeks to go. Greg and I spent our weekend enjoying time together. We went out to the Aquarium in Norfolk/VA Beach, saw Harry Potter in the IMAX, ate lunch on the boardwalk. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable time.
My doctor appointments are every two weeks now. In addition to all the doctor stuff, we are starting our prenatal classes this coming weekend. Then next Friday we're meeting with a pediatrician in Chester - I'm hoping we like her because she's 5 minutes up the road.

Well, the news is in and we have decided upon a name.... but you'll have to settle for information from our last doctor visit. Going into the follow-up sonogram, Christina and I were both a bit shaky. We were greeted by another foreign face who was not nearly as friendly and personable as the previous nurse technician. She was able to capture some good profile images from the side and gave us the opportunity to see frontal facial images, but after that brief period the technician was all business.... probing and measuring, probing and measuring, inserting a slick one-liner, probing and measuring.... and then leaving the room with the fate of our baby held within the data and pictures in her hand. After about 5 minutes which felt like 5 hours, doctor doom came through the door. Judging from her previous demeanor when she laid the darkest of prognosis upon our child, the situation did not look good; however, with a dramatic pause that would win a Hollywood actress an Oscar, she finally informed us of the good news... our little man has resumed normal development and the previous cyst has begun to drain. With a smile on her face we had yet to experience, she ecstatically proclaimed, "See, I told you he would correct himself!"

Week 25 - Growing like a Weed.
These days, it appears I'm constantly growing. I wake up and another maternity outfit doesn't fit :P Now I understand the versatility of owning a MuuMuu - they grow with you :)
Our little one is contantly kicking and buzzing around these days. He wakes up, beating his drum every night around 9pm- he's crazy! I'm just praying his night time partying doesn't become a normal routine. :) Although, I'm sure it will to some extent.
We had a hospital tour scheduled for sunday. Greg was unable to go- due to work- but I went ahead and went. I'll make another appt so he can see the place another time. I was the only women there without a husband :( but that's o.k. The hospital is beautiful! The labor rooms are nice and big. I think our biggest issue may be getting there. The hospital is St. Mary's in the city and it's about 45 mintues from the house! Eeeeks. It is suppose to be one of the best hopsitals for babies.

Bahamas

Photo I took of Atlantis Paradise Island. The bridge between the two towers is a hotel suite. It averages 25k a night. The guide told us Michael Jackson and Oprah have stayed in it.

18 Weeks
I'm 18 weeks huge and feeling better than ever! I haven't felt this good since pre-pregnancy. We've decided to take a cruise to the Bahamas next week! It's our first REAL vacation other than the honeymoon. We normally dedicate our vacation time to visiting family up north. I can't wait to get away! I'm ready to get my fat butt on a boat and get some R&R. We're driving down to Jacksonville next thursday. I hope the weather is nice and enjoyable. What spontaneous people we are! :P Ha!

161 Beats Per Minute!
I had my first doc appointment last friday. Greg picked me up at work around 11am, and we went up to St. Marys. We were there nearly 2 1/2 hours. I wondered if my new co-workers thought I wasn’t coming back from lunch. For being so early in the pregnancy the ultrasound was easy and quick, it was the other junk that took so long. Most women say the first ultrasound isnt’ very fun- and normally it’s normally not done externally. The nurse just slapped the goo on my tummy and stuck the wand on it, and away we went. Soon a little heartbeat appeared on the monitor. I about peed my pants in amazement and wonder! This little living bean thing has a heart, beating about 161 beats a minute. How AMAZING this all was to both us :) We just always saw ourselves as parents of cats and new little puppy. But now, we will be parents of little baby. We are truely bless from God.
Here's the little beansprout in all his glory.
